ANNUAL REPORT

The following is the report submitted to the statutory meeting of the Gisborne Co-operative Meat Supply Co.. “The directors of the Gisborne Cooperative Meat Supply Company, Ltd., report to the members as follows: 1. The total number of shares allotted by the company is 5060 shares of £1 each, and of these shares 950 have been allotted as fully paid up, otherwise than in cash, and the. balance, vis., 4110 shares, have been allotted subject to tlie payment of the full nominal amount thereof in cash. 2.The shares allotted as fully paid up have been allotted in consideration of the sales by the allottees to this company of their respective butchery businesses, in terms of two separate contracts dated the 18th day of May, 1909. made between John Maynard and Edmoml Thomas Harries respectively as vendors and the said company a,s purchares. 3. The total amount of cash received by the company in respect of the said 4110 shares is £1366 15s, and the company has received no cash in respect of the shares allotted as fully paid up. 4. The following is an abstract of the receipts and expenditure of the company on capital account to the date of this* report:Receipts Application monies £1027 10s, allotment £319 3s, calls paid in advance £2O: total, £1366 15s. Expenditure: By balance £1365 los;totai £1366 15s. 5. The following is an ac count of the ascertained preliminary expenses of the company to the date of tills report: —Costs, charges and disbursements in connection with the floatation of the company, £SO 15s 6d; brokerage, 4110 shares at 2$ per cent., £lO2 15s: advertising, £ll ltisjandthe additional preliminary expenses are estimated at £3O 6s. The names, addresses and occupations of tho directors, auditors, manager, and secretary or the company are as follows:—Directors: Thomas John Adair, of Gisborne, warehouseman; Charles Henry Anabridge, of Gisborne, draper; John Cmlov of Gisborne, builder; Alexander Francis Kennedy, Gisborne, mercantile manager; John * Maynard. Gisborne, butcher: Arthur Henry Wallis. Gisborne. sheepfarmer : William Webb, Gisborne bricklaver. Auditors: Herbert Musgrove Porter. G borne, accountant; Harold Evitt V ;de Gisborne, accountant.
