The Coalowners’ Association deny that the. Laura was refused cargo. They explain that it is probable the vessel was unable to obtain a supply from some of the colleries because they have orders booked for months ahead. The Laura is now loading with Aherdale coal.
It is understood that the Federal Government intend to make further inquiry into the reports regarding an alleged coal vend.

(Received September 29, 12.21 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Sept. 28. Replying to a question in the Federal House of Representatives the AttorneyGeneral said that his Department was investigating the Laura coal case.
