BURGLARS AT WORK.

THEFTS REPORTED AT PALMERSTON. |Per Press Association.l PALMERSTON. Sept. 28. Perry’s general store at Longburn •was entered by burglars late on Sunday night and goods valued at from £7 to £lO were removed. An'entrance was effected by cutting a piece out of a glass panel door, and lilting an iron bar that secured it. The goods taken included boots, some clothing, and an assortment of electro-plated ware. far no clue has been obtained.

A second burglary lias been reported to the police, Woodroffe and Co.’s store Palmerston North, having been entered and goods to the value of between £2O and £3O removed. Entry was obtained through a back window, which was smashed and the catch unfastened.
