[Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 30

About nine o’clock last evening a married woman named Lydia M. It appeared she had been experiencing trouble of a domestic character lately, and last evening she drank a bottle and a half of “rough on rats.” Her father-in-law, upon discovering tho fact, communicated with the police and a doctor, who ordered the woman’s removal to tho hospital. She appeared to bo in great pain, and screamed violently and continually, both while being conveyed in a cab to the hospital and after admission. To-day it is reported that she is a little better and it is anticipated she will recover.
