Max Norclau was born at Pestli, and is the son. ot a Jewish Rabin. He could read at four, had .published several books when he was 14; for the next few years he supported by his pen his father, mother, and sister, and before he was 24 had saved enough to make a tour of,three years of Europe. He is a tremendous enthusiast where his race is concerned. His labors as a physician among the victims of poverty in the poorer districts of Paris have made his name as famous as the Rothschilds.
