Anirerican society is in. a flutter over Mr DoChran, because it is reported that he iias at fast decided to enter into smart society, and dozens of fond mothers are roping that this young millionaire may •hoose their particular daughter as his wife. “Thank God!” Mr Cochran is reported to have once said to a menu, <1 am still a bachelor. I know that l man is best off when he is married, mt I have no idea when that good fortune will happen to me.” If young Hr Cochran should give up his bachelorhood, the lucky girl would he mistress >f many millions, and carry off m tn-xm-ph the richest unmarried man in all America.
