THE WEATHER

The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast: - —Mild and humid conditions have prevailed today, with light rains in Taranaki, and hazy and cloudy skies in many parts. Increasing northerly and westerly winds are reported, and the barometer has fallen slowly everywhere. The indications are for a westerly disturbance, bringing cloudy and unsettled weather soon, with heavy rain on the west coast south of Kawhia, and high westerly winds generally. The pressure will probably be low in the south for about 24 hours.
