SHAKESPEARE’S PROFITS,

MR. WALLACE’S DOCUMENTS. United Press Association— Copyright. LONDON, October, 4. The “Times” publishes the text of Mr. Wallace’s documents. They are the most interesting since Green’s discovery of Shakespeare’s will in 1747. The deed traces the history of the Globe and Blackfriars Theatres from 1599 to 1616. Shakespeare owned a® seventh share of Blackfriars Theatre, ond onefourteenth share of the Globe. The total annual rental of the Globe Theatre was £1412. The exact site of the Globe Theatre was not where the present brewery stands, as is generally supposed, but at the opposite side of Park Street, which was called Maidenlane in Shakespeare’s time. Mr. Wallace states that the Globe, Rose, Bear Garden, and Hope Theatres were all between Maidenlane and Bankside.
