THE WEATHER

The following is the Rev. D. O. Bates’ summary and forecast:—The weather has been generally cloudy and wet, the barometer has continued low in the southern districts and fallen steadily in the north. Strong westerlies and squally northerlies have prevailed, ’idle present indications are for high westerly winds, changing to the- southward for more unsettled and cloudy weather generally. The barometer will probably fall further in the north, but a decided rise is expected thereafter about 16 hours.
