Co.’s Wanaka arrived from South yesterday morning, just after midnight. She unloaded the following cargo here:—From Bluff—34s sacks oats, 72 sacks potatoes, 55 cases milk,, and 6 packages samples; from Oamaru —210 sacks potatoes, 30 sacks oats, and 160 sacks flour; from Timaru —205 sacks flour, 10 sacks oatmeal, and 20 sacks wheat. The vessel sailed for Auckland in the afternoon. After discharging at Auckland she is expected to load at Bluff on October 14, Oamam 15th, Timaru 16th, and should arrive at Gisborne about October 20. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera _ arrived in due course early in the morning, and left for Auckland about 10 a.m Some of the passengers missed the Tuatea’s advertised trip, and had to follow in that tender and the Harbor Board launch, getting aboard nearly a dozen miles out of port. When the Tuatea first went out on the Tarawera’s arrival in the early morning, she had to leave from the wrong side of the stream owing to the bad state of the river, although she had been hauled down into deep water previously in order to leave irom the wharf side. The Hudart-Parker Co.’s Victor:* arrived yesterday afternoon, an-d departed at night, being tendered by the Tuatea on arrival and at 7 p.m. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall leaves at noon to-morrow for Auckland, having lain in harbor here sipce yesterday morning. . . The U.S.S. Co.’s Mokoia wil 1 visit Gisborne on Tuesday next, from Auckland, instead of on the Wednesday, as usual. The s.s. Koonya is expected to leave Greymouth to-morrow or Friday or Saturday, for MilfoTd Sound. Captain M. Livingstone, of the U.S.S. Co.’s Moana, is to take charge of the Maheno. Captain Clift, late of the Waihora, will succeed Captain Livingstone on the Moana. The schooner Awanui will receive cargo on Saturday for Tologa Bay.
