ONE FARTHING DAMAGES. United Press Association —Copyright. (Received October 6, 8.55 p.m) SYDNEY, October 6. Peter Bowling, president of the Colliery Employers’ Federation, who claimed £IOOO, has been awarded a farthing dahages against the proprietor of the Namoi “Independent,” for publishing an alleged libel in connection with the recent strike at Gunnedah colliery.
