Through the instrumentality of the authoress, Marie Corelli, th© ancient house of Stratford-on-Avon, associated with John Harvard’s mother, has been purchased by Americans and restored with every detail. The American Ambassador, Mr. Whitelaw Reid, conducted the opening ceremony.
[John Harvard was the founder of the University which bears his name.]
