The following is the Rov. D. C. Rates’ summary and forecast: —Moderate to strong westerly winds have provailed north of Kawln- =ll (. asuepoint. with clouds weather, but elsewliere mostly high westerly winds and rain hare been experienced. The barometer remains low and unsteadv in the extreme south. hut has fallen slowly elsewhere The present indications are for unsettled and cloudy weather generally, probably colder and showery in most narts, strong northwest winds prevailing over the North Island and south-west chew here, and changing to southerly everywhere shortly, with a rising barometer.
