CAPTAIN SCOTT’S EXPEDITION

United Press association —Copyright. LONDON, October 13. The Agents-General were present at an Antarctic meeting. The Lord Mayor announced that Lords Milner, Curzon, and Strathcona, and the Royal Geographical Society supported Captain Scott’s project. Captain Scott states that tho biggest item is wages. He could manage the ships with unsalaried men to-morrow, but the “geologist” would know nothing of geology, and the “cook” would be unable to cook. He proposed to spend £12,000 in puichasing a vessel. Sir Edgar Speyer opened the subscription list by donating £IOOO .
