THE MISSING DUCO
AN UNSUCCESSFUL SEARCH. JPkr Press Association.! NAPIER. Oct. 14. The steamer Gertie, which left Wellington oil the 6th inst. in search for the Duco, put into port this morning short of water. Captain W hiteford, representing the Marine Department, reports that the vessel cruised about 600 miles, but saw no trace of tbo Duco. The Gertie left at noon and will zigzag down the coast to Wellington.
