THE WEATHER

The following is the Rev. D. C. Rates’ summary and forecast: —The weather has been humid and cloudy over the North Island, and unsettled and stormy in the southern districts. Moderate northerly winds have prevailed in the north, and strong westerly winds elsewhere. The present indications are for rain in most parts of the country. Strong westerly and 'southwesterly winds will ‘ probably prevail, and, although there are some indications of a storm area developing to the north-east of New Zealand, the barometer will rise soon everywhere.
