STRIKES AND OUTRAGES BY PROTESTERS. United Press Association —Copyright - ROME, October 15, • The strikes in sympathy with the lato M. Eerrer continue in several Italian towns. There have been bomb explosions in Barcelona, but the effect was harmless. There is a general strike in Rome. Nearly all the shops are shut, and tramway and cab services have been suspended. A similar condition -of affairs exists in Milan and Trieste. MADRID, October 15Another bomb was found an hour after the first one at Barcelona.'* Both were placed in an armoured carriage for removing explosives, and each exploded immediately. The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs states that the court judged M. Ferrer as having actually participated in direct acts of rebellion. Socialists are organising a meeting in Albert Hall to protect against Ferrier’s execution. They threaten to boycott Spanish goods. A FIGHT IN THE SPANISH PARLIAMENT. : (Received October 17; 5-5 p.m.). LONDON, October 16. An open fight took place in the Cortes between Ministerialists and Republicans over tlie Ferrer case. Liberal deputies separated the combatants. Ferrer disturbances continue at Buenos Ayres, where the- Spanish Legation is guarded. Bombs were exploded at the Spanish Consulate at Rosario, injuring one of the anarchists and damaging the Consulate. ROME, October 16. A great demonstration took place at Rome, where the general strike continues. Many Spanish Consuls in Italy have resigned. •'
