BARCELONA BOMB EXPLOSIONS

Reuter’s correspondent reports that altogether six bombs were exploded at Barcelona. One explosion killed ten persons.

Mr. Victor Grayson, in a violent speech, advocated “life for life.” He declared, “If the heads of every King in Eiirope were torn from their trunks to-morrow, they would not pay half the price of Ferrer’s life. Ferrer’s death lies at King .Edward’s door, because he did not use his influence with King Alfonso.” The crowd inarched in procession, singing the “Marsellaise,” to the Spanish. Embassy at Grosvenor Gardens, where they groaned and hooted. The same disturbances and a further demonstration were made outside the Catholic Cathedral at Westminster. Demonstrations have been made in Germany and Holland.

Ten thousand people at Buenos Ayres burned King Alfonso’s effigy, and passed a resolution in favor of boycotting Spanish goods. Similar meetings have been held in many towns in the interior of Argentina. ROME, October 18. A Ferrer mob at Pisa attempted to fire the Cathedral. The great door was partially burned, but the police extinguished it, and dispersed the mob. The mob also wrecked the Church of ..‘Santa Croce, at Pisa, overturning the altars and slashing the pictures. Attempts were made to wreck the ehurjches at Duca, Forli, and Ancona. Demonstrators at Liege broke the ■ windows of a monastery, a" convent, and a church, and plundered the vestry. PARIS, October 18. Fifty thousand people demonstrated :at Paris. The proceedings were ipeace- . ful owing to the action of the social- : iste, who approached M. Briand, promising themselves to preserve order if the police did not interfere.
