A grain elevator with' 200,000' bushels of wheat, eight sheds full of freight, a cold storage warehouse, and a Customs; house have been destroyed by fire at Quebec. The Canadian-Pacific linei Empress of Ireland had a.- nairow escape. A fireman was killed. The damage is estimated at 1,500,000 dollars, only a quarter of a million dollars being covered by insurance.
