PATHE PICTURES:—WEIGHT’S

AEROPLANE

Cable news lias been so full of aeronautical matters lately that, the announcement of tho Pathe Picture Co. that they would present a series of views of Wilbur Wright and liis flying machine aroused great interest, and caused the theatre to. be very well filled last evening. The star picture showed the flying machine in Italy being got ready for the flight, then came the start, and the machine rose gracefully in the air after a short run along the starting rail. The aeroplane, was then seen soaring round in a circle, with the King of Italy, the American Ambassador, and other distinguished persons watching it with interest. A cinematograph operator was finally taken as ' a passenger, and the first views ever taken from a flying machine were shown. Another good picture gave interesting views in Japan, with its beautiful waterways and quaint street scenes. The industrial pictures were extremely interesting, more especially “A Woollen Factory in Sweden,” although “Rope Making” did not come far behind. Other good films were “■United by Misfortune,” a touching dramatic study: “A Plucky Marathon Winner” and “The Castaways.” Comic pictures wdre well represented in “The Daredevil Motor Car.” “The Schoolboys’ Revenge,” and “Journalistic Types.” This programme will be shown for the last time to-night. There will bo no performance Uv-morrow, Wednesday, but on Thursday (Trafalgar Day') the management will present a special naval programme, depicting many oApnes in the life of f Admiral Lord Nelson.
