VESSELS IN PORT. Coronation, ketch. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall arrived yesterday at half-past six :n the. morning, having been delayed by bad weather. She sailed from Auckland early on Saturday afternoon, but on Sunday the heavy seas and strong south easterly winds forced her to put m under Mercury Island for shelter f r some, hours. £>he passed East Cape at 1 p in. «vn Monday, reaching Tologa liie sane evening, where she discharged 30 tens of cargo. She left Ihe !a> at 2 ain for Gisborne, arriving four/ 1 ”- a half hours later. After discharging cargo, she sailed again for Auckland direct late last night. The Squall’s cargo for Gisborne totalled 150 tons, and was comprised of the following consignments: —832 pieces timber, 70 cases tinned fruits, 42 cases prunes, 90 sacks flour, 400 drain pipes, 75 bags manure, 17 packages hardware, 112 bundles butter boxes, 24 chests tea, 25 sacks empty bottles, 12 milk cans, 59 cases beer, 6 ■packages glass and enamelware, 4 packages saddlery, 245 cases kerosene, 17 cases fresh fruits, 500 tiles, 2SO bags sugar, 12 kegs nails, 10 sacks wheatmeal, 30 packages spirits, 4000 bricks, 11 cases pickles, 50 oasse candles, 45 bags cement, 200 bundles staves, 1 12ft pnlling boat, and 9 barrels oils. The" U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera is due from South early this mornng, and will leave fer Auckland as usual later in the
day. The Hudart-Parker Co.’s Wimmera is due from Sydney, via Auckland, this afternoon, and will leave for Napier and South during the evening. It has been arranged for the Tuatea to leave the wharf on arrival and at 7 p.m The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora will arrive from Wellington, Pic ton, and Napier to-morrow morning, and will proceed the same day to Auckland, via Coast nortsi The U.S.S. The Melbourne Shipping Co. s Melbourne, from Newcastle, is expected to leave Napier to-morrow or Friday for Gisborne. The U.S.S. Co. are the local agents.
