THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21. (Before Mr. W. A. Barton, S.M.) N CIVIL CASES. ; In the case of Patrick Green (Mr. F Nolan) v-. Stephen O’Sullivan (Mr. T. A. Coleman), Mr. Nolan asked for a discontinuance of the ■ case. Costs amounting to £1 11s 5d were allowed to the defendant. In the judgment summons case of Henry Martin (Mr. F. Nolan( v. Charles Pitt, in which, the defendant did not appear, His Worship made an order for immediate payment of £6 18s 6d, the, amount of debt and costs, or in default seven days’ imprisonment. Mr. Burnard, on behalf of Andrew : Tuohy, asked lor an order against Alfred Bush, in respect of a claim for £6 10s, for which judgment had been given. ’ Mr. Hei appeared for the tor. The latter stated that he was a' carter, earning £2 17s 6d per week, out of which he had to keep a family of seven. The amount owing was in respect of rent incurred between May and August, 1906. • The debtor’s wife also gave evidence, stating that though she had received £9O insurance after a fire which had destroved her home, all the money had been spent in replacing things that were destroyed, and other incidental expenses. ;‘\ .. . , , • , The case was adjourned for a weekin order that a full account, of this expenditure might be presented by Mrs. Bush. ‘
