Messrs Richardson and Co. V Fanny returned to Napier yesterday morning. The ketch Coronation got away yesterday afternoon for Whitianga, via Tologa Bay. with a general cargo. The U.iS.S. Co.’s Squall arrived here at 10 a.m. yesterday morning from Auckland and Tologa Bay. She sailed from Auckland at 3 p.m. on the 23rd, passing the East Cape at 4.30 p.m. on 24th inst., and arriving at Tologa Bay same day at 10.45 p.m. Sailed again at 5 a.m. on 25th, arriving as above. During the passage N.W. winds were experienced, moderate, with frequent rain squalls. The Squall has 340 tons of general cargo, including : 129 tons transhipments ex Drayton Grange, 11 tons transhipments ex Paparoa, "582 pieces timber, 240 bags sugar, 80 sacks flour, 100 cases G.C. iron, 161 sacks coke, 70_ packages iron, 80 cases dried fruits, 50 cases tinned fruits, 23 cases onions, 100 cases kerosene, 30 packages hardware, 30 cases soda, 80 cases spirits, 20 drums oil, 50 boxes soap, 15 cases stationery, 10 packages horse shoes, 500 house blocks, 14 cases coffee essence, 12 cases bottles, 100 bags lime, 40 bags manure 7 packages skins, 120 bags cement, 60 sacks coal, 24 bales wool, 134 bunnies box timber, 24 milk can,s 12 packages binders. 5 cases boots, and a quantity of sundries. The U.S.S. Co.’s Waikare returns from Auckland to-morrow afternoon, and proceeds South later. The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Monowai was delayed at Lyttelton by bad weather till last evening. An effort will be- made to get her away from Wellington early to-dav, and Napier on Wednesday morning, so that she may arrive here on "Wednesday afternoon, in good time for the, W’ard Comedy Company to open their season in Gisborne the same evening. ... , The Melbourne Shipping Co. s s.s.q Melbourne is expected to get away this morning .for Auckland.' From there she proceeds to Hokianga to load for Australia.: ■ , ~ Mr W'ill ram Henderson, one of theoldest members of the Wellington Shipwrights’ Society, is dead. The deceased, who was;. 60 years of age, was born at’ Aberdeen; and had lived in Wellington for about thirty years. On Saturday week he collapsed while carrying a plank on board a vessel which he was assisting to repair. Medical aid was summoned, and the deceased was removed to the hospital, but succumbed. -His wife died some years ago. UY TELEGRAPH.
