The Government are losing ground almost everywhere. [Under the able and enlightened rule of Porfirio Diaz, Mexico has enjoyed many years of prosperity and tranquility. President Diaz, however, is 80 years of age, and the- question of who is to succeed him is agitating the country. Senor Raymon Carrall, the vice-President, is supported by Diaz as his successor. He is opposed by General Bernando Reyes, Governor of Nuevo Leon.]
