At the inquest on John Taylor, railway porter, who was killed by a train at Southbrook on Wednesday, the verdict was that death had been accidentally caused while he was exchanging tablets at the station. A FATAL FALL. INVERCARGILL. Oct. 28. A youth named D. McEliigott, who fell down the hold of the steamer Rakaia at the Bluff yesterday, sustaining a fractured skull and thigh, died in the hospital this morning.
