(Special to “Times.”) GREYMOUTH, October 29. The following is the mine manager’s report for the week ending October 26: During the week the north drive was extended 24 feet on tin back The stone mentioned in last report is completely cut out, but the track is favorable for the reef at any time. The total distance north of drive from the crosscut is 269 feet. In the slopes the reef continues to pinch, and I think No. 1 stope is near the end of the stone south. A start has been made to stope in the old workings about No. 13 level and south of the winze, but here the reef is small and mulloeky, and will not provide much milling ore. Sloping will be commenced on the stone recently cut in No. 14 level in a day or so. One hundred and one tons were sent to the battery for the week, making a total tonnage of ISO tons.
