The Press of this country null he delighted to hear that there will be legislation affecting the law of libel. New Zealand lags behind in this respect in the protection of its Press, and it is certainly high time that the conditions were brought more into line with those of other countries, where the discharge of a public duty will enjoy greater security.—“Hokitika Guardian.”
