THE WEATHER

The following ih the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast: —An area of westerly low pressure has passed southward of iKawhia and Napier, and the barometer has risen fast in the south, with rain and some show on the higher levels. The barometer has been fairly steady in the north; and the weather has been unsettled, cloudy, and wet in the north. The present indications are for light and variable winds, with little movement of the barometer, changeable and humid conditions in the far north, but fair weather is probable generally.
