VESSELS IN PORT.
Awanui, schooner. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera is due from the South early this morning. She will he tendered by the Tuatea, which will leave the’ wharf at 6 a.m. ■and 9.30. The vessel will leave for Auckland during the morning. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria, from Sydney and Auckland, will reach Gisborne tins afternoon, and continues her voyage southward in the evening. Tlie Tuatea will go out on her arrival, and again with outward passengers at 7 p.m. , , , The U.S.S. Squall left Gisborne last night for Auckland. The cargo lauded at Gisborne yesterday was made up as follows:—700 bags sugar, 140 bags salt, 300 hags cement, 180 bags lime, 31 bags manure, 203 pieces timber, 148 bundles timber, 45 bundles ironwork, 9 rolls linoleum, 13- kegs soda, 30 crates biscuits, 7 crates galvanised iron, 300 border tiles, 24 pigs lead, 240 sacks coal, 40 50’s Hour, 5 bales wool, 160 cases kerosene, 100 cases benzine, 39 cases matches, 20 cases fresh fruit, 4 cases drapery, 10 cases spirits, 15 cases jam, 10 packages hardware, 40 cases sulphuric acid, 33,. cases cornflour, a quantity of transhipments ex , Opawa, Mimiro, Niwaru, Whakarua, and Drayton Grange, and a quantity of sundries. The s.s. Fanny is due from Napier to-day with a large cargo of timber. Tlie following passengers are booked to leave for Auckland by the Tarawera this morning: Misses McGuire, Baird, and McOombc; Mesdames Kronfeld, Gaudin, Almertyn, Bush and child; Messrs McGuire, Gardiner, Scott and Bridger; Bishop Lenihan, Father Tigar. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora, which has arrived at YVellington. is to be put on the slip for her annual overhaul and survey. She will probably return to Gisborne to-morrow and go North, after which she will come back here to load wool for the Niwaru.
