The Japanese newspapers express a hope that Lord Kitchener, on his visit to Japan, will become assured of the utter baselessness of interested rumors that Japan is beginning to undervalue the alliance with. Britain, or underestimates Britain’s enormous potentialities for preserving the peace of the world.
