The imports to the Dominion during, .the September quarter this, year were valued at £4,197,421, compared with £5,106,071 during the corresponding quarter of lasjryear. The exports for the same quaii>er were £3,279,644 this year, and £2,883,243 last year. The population of the Dominion on September 30th last is estimated at 973,350, exclusive of Maoris and Pacific Islanders, an increase of 4004 f° r tho three months. Births numbered 661 b and deaths 2445, arrivals 7371 and departures 7538.
