A remit from Wanganui, urging the Government to .proclaim a close season m 1910 ■ for all imported game other than deer throughout New Zealand, and foi that one season hares be declared game in those districts where! they are not (fame, was negatived. A southland remit requesting the Government to provide protection from stoats and weasels throughout New Zealand was agreed to, witlrthe addition of the words m such district or portion thereof as the acclimatisation ’ societies or the local authority controlling same may; deterTho Acclimatisation Societies’ Conference! resolved that the Government lie ashed to prohibit automatic or machine guns; that no person be allowed to use more than one double-barrelled (run on one day; that the Government b e urged to continue the importation of Atlantic salmon ova, and to put an amount on the Estimates for the purpose this session. The ceil'ference has concluded, but arranges to-morrow to wait on the Government.
