THE WEATHER.

The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast: A slight redistribution of pressure has taken place, the barometer having risen slowly in the north and fallen slowly in the south. The winds have freshened in parts of the south, northward of East Gape and New Plymouth, .and westerly elsewhere. The weather has been generally fair and warm, but rain has fallen about East Cape. The present indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds, with generally fair weather in the north, and changeable in the south, with showers probable in the western and southern districts.
