THAT for the future when there is occasion to Ring the Fire Bells, the ringer at the Belfry will endeavor to convey to the Public the locality of the Fire* by observing the following Rules:— When Fire is between Wharf and Belfry—l Stroke between the Peals. When between Belfry and Upper Fire Bell —2 Slow Strokes - "between the Peals. West End, above Upper Fire Bell—--3 Slow Strokes between the Peals. When Fire on Whataupoko—4 Slow Strokes between the Peals. When on the ICaiti—s Slow Strokes between the Peals. Also when the .Ih'i’e is on the North Side of Gladstone Road, TWO Smart Strokes to be given after the slow ones, and when on the South Side of Gladstone Road, FOUR Smart Strokes after slow ones to be given R.
