REDUCTION OF TAXES
United Preps Association —Copyright CAPETOWN, Nov 4. Mr. Oliff, Treasurer, in his Budget statement in the Natal Assembly, announced that the income and land taxes would be reduced by one-half The outlook was most hopeful. A Bill authorising the Natal Government to purchase or expropriate suitable land for the purpose of settlement was rejected by the Speaker’s casting vote. The Department of Agriculture in Natal has established an intelligence bureau to bring together producers and buyers at home and abroad.
