VESSELS IN F’OHT. Awanui, schooner. The U.S.S. Co.’s AVaikare arrives ifrom South this morning, leaving later for Auckland. The Tuatea leaves the wharf at G a.m. and 10 a.m. The following have booked for Auckland: Misse Dever and L. Mathias; Messrs <}. Bowler, 0. E. 'Hugo, D. Wilson, A. F. Farmer, A. Bethuno, gham, and Plumber. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera returns from Auckland to-morrow afternoon, leaving later for South. The Tuatea leaves the wharf on arrival and at 5 p.m. The U.S.S. Co.’s Maheno v from Sydney, connects with the A\ r aikare at Auckland, and then returns to Sydney. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall arrived at Auckland on Thursday evening from Gisborne. The Squall should leave for Tologa Bay and Gisborne this afternoon. The U.S.S. Co.’ produce steamer AVanaka left Oamaru at 5 a.m. yesterday for Timaru, where she loads for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. She is due 'here about Tuesday • next. The schooner Awanui loads cargo today for Tologa Bay. She expects to get away this evening, but if not will sail to-morrow. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s AVaimate is expected to arrive from Auckland early this'morning to load wool, barley, and tallow. She will probably get away for Napier efi Monday evening. . . ■ The well-known barque Jessie Craig, which’ arrived at Auckland last Friday from Newcastle with a cargo of coal, made the passage in the fast time of six days 13 hours. The steamer Inga, which arrived the previous day, took seven days to make the same journey as the barque. , . x , The sailing ship which is to leave New’York in January, with a cargo oi case oil for Lyttelton and Dunedin, is the large French barque Marie 2298 tons gross register. The ves?*l will bring 40,000 cases of oil for Lyttelton, and 46,000 cares for Dunedin.
