PRODUCE SALES
Messrs F. S. Malcolm and Co. report the following prices received on Saturday:—Ducks 2s to 2s 3d, fowls 2s 3d to 2s lid, roosters 2s 6d to os, eggs 101 and lid doz. butter 9d and Kid, maize 3s 6d bushel, best Derwents 11s sack, onions 2d lb. new potatoes 2d and 2-Jd .lb, Tasmanian apples 16s case. American apples 17s 6d case, small vegetables at usual rates. A very successful furniture sale followed on account of Mr. A. Malcolm. Messrs Miller and Craig report the following prices realised:—Chickens 6d and 7d, hens Is 9d to 2s Id, roosters Is 9d to 2s 6d, bantams 2s Id, ducks 2s 4d, onions L}d lb, new potatoes 2d lb, peas Is Id peck, -turnips l|d bundle, butter 4d to lOd lb, eggs lOd doz., lioncy 4d lb, potatoes os and 7s 6d sack. HORSE SALES. Messrs Williams and Kettle’s weekly horse sale was well attended on Saturday morning, and keen competition resulted. Forty horses were yarded, and prices realised were as follows: Hacks from £2 to £9. harness horses from £7 to £ll os. A nice gig was also sold for £9.
