Co.’s Waikare arrived from Napier early on Saturday morning, and left for Auckland an hour before noon with- a large number of passengers. . About the same time as the Waikare’.s arrival the N.Z. Shipping Co.’s Waimate came into the Bay from Auckland- She will load something like 1000 bales of wool. 1500 sacks of barley, and 60 casks of tallow. _ She is to sail for Napier to-morrow night. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera arrived on Sunday after noon, and left in the evening for the South, the Tuatea leaving the wharf at 5 p.m. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora, which is being overhauled at Wellington, is expected to "get away on Thursday. She •null arrive here on Saturday, and leave the same evening for Auckland, via Coast hays. ... , , The U.S.S. Co.’s Wanalta, winch left Auckland on Thursday evening, sighted several heavy pieces of floating timber in longtitude 177 E. They were floating somewhere between Mercury Bay and Cape Runaway. The Tyser liner Niwaru will ■Wellington on Thursday for Napier and Gisborne, for Home loading. She will return to Wellington about the end of next week to complete her cargo, and is expected to catch the January wool sales in London. The a.s.
