IMPERIAL POLITICS.
THE LORDS AND THE BUDGET
United Press Association —Coi*yuight. LONDON, Nov. 7 S. The “Daily Chronicle,” commenting on -the Lords’ intended delay of the second reading of the Budget Bill until November 22nd, says that it suspects that the tariffite Peers are at the -present time scoffing at their tamer brethren. The Peers, though anxious •to wound, are afraidi to strike, and look for a sign from the heavens, hut none will be given. The “Times” attacks the legislation tacked to the Budget, and hints that it is the Lords’ duty to reject such tacking.
