PERSONAL.
Mr. L. T. Barnard was a passenger for Auckland on Saturday morning. Mr. E. C. Isaac, Inspector of Technical Schools, arrived in Gisborne from South on Saturday morning to inspect tho local school. He returns South ou Wednesday evening. Mr. A. S. Wachsmann was a passenger for Napier by the s.s. Monowai last night. Messrs F. Hall, D. J. Barry, and J. A. Lucas left for Napier last night. Mr. S. Williamson, of Ngatapa Star tion, was a passenger by the s.s. Monowai for Napier last night. Dr. and Mrs’. C. F. Scott left for Smith by the s.s. Monowai last evening. The members of Pollards Opera Co., 38 in number, arrived from Auckland yesterday afternoon. At the meeting of the local Trades and Labor Council on Saturday, a presentation was made to the secretary, 'Mr. J. H. Hall, in recognition of the good work he -had done grat-uitously ’in representing the Counoil at the CoaIVrerco at Wellington. The presentation took the form of a framed enlargcmmi 1 of the delegates, and was made by tho president, Mr. Wilson Duncan.
