ESCAPED TIGER.

CAUSES SCARE AT SEA

United Press Association— Copyright LONDON, Oct. 14.

A tiger aboard the steamer Altai, hound from Colombia for New York, escaped from a cage during a lmiricane. It raided the steerage and forecastle, badly, clawing several passengers and members of,.the crew. A hose of-',hot water ultimately drove the tiger to the steerage, where it was battened down until the steamer reached its destination, and was then captured.
