FPek Press Association.! -AUCKLAND, Nov. 15. Judge Edwards granted a decree nisi in the" divorce ease, Thomas Frederick Lloyd v. Elinor Lloyd and John Walter Elson, misconduct. FIRE AT CLEVELAND. Robertson Bros.’ general store and the dwelling of Mr. Robert-son, at Cleveland, were totally destroyed--bv fire on Sunday afternoon. Both properties were insured in the Guardian office. The horse sections contribute 259, against 251 last year; cattle 69, against 76; sheep 196, against ISO; dogs, pigs, and grain 157, against 125. THE PROPOSED PRIMAGE DUTY. The Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution to-day protesting against the primage duty on the ground that the whole tax would fall upon the (retailers, who could not make tne addition to the value of thein goods, although they would have to pay the duty when they bought in bulk in the Dominion or imported.
