The Treasurer lias delivered his Budget. The revenue amounted to £4,766,244 and the expenditure to £4,756,303. The estimated revenue for the current year is £4,837,817, and the expenditure £4,834,041. He intimated that if the 1 financial agreement with the Commonwealth was ratified, the State would have a largely decreased income, necessitating a still firiher control of 'expenditure if new taxation Avas to be avoided, but if the present prospects continued, he had every confidence in their meeting the new conditions wit-li-out financial inconvenience.
