The “Daily Telegraph” announces that Air. Herbert Gladstone lias accepted the Governor-Generalship of South Africa.

INDENTURED INDIAN LABOR.

CAPETOAVN, Nov. 20

A Natal commision of inquiry reports that several industries owe their existence to indentured Indian labor, and that many of the complaints against such labor are unfounded;' Nevertheless it recommends confining immigration to the indentured form, with all arrangements to repatriate when the contracts expire.
