THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. 1). C. Bates’ summary and forecast: Two disturbances have passed, one in the North and' one in the South. Rain lias fallen generally and been heavy on the East Coast of the South Island. The present indications are for a change for more northerly winds. A storm area appears to exist to the'"north-west and to threaten the North Island after about 40 hours. The weather will/probably be changeable in the- meantime.
