The American Federation of Labor at Toronto voted Samuel Gompers, James Mitchell, and S. "Morrison, imprisoned for contempt of court, £IOOO sterling each per annum while in gaol, if sent to gaol under the recent sentence. [Gompers, Mitchell, and Morrison, in their official capacity as president, vicepresident, and secretary of the Federation of Labor,” ignored an injunction of the Washington Court, and persisted in black-listing Bucks Stove Range Company. Judge Wright, who presided at the Court, sentenced them to twelve, nine, and six months’ imprisonment respectively for contempt of Court, and the decision was upheld by the: Court of Appeal. of the District of Columbia: and Washington. The accused are now appealing to the Supreme Cojirt of the United States.]
