For explanation I may name that this’ action has been practised for 2o years past, and, to the full satisfaction and pleasure of- all concerned, both receivers and donors —the latter usually representing the. general public. Tho books sent are essentially undenominational in character, have been for dd years past maintained thus, and ; arc guaranteed to continue so, recognising neither sect, party, or church, but representing the common broad hues or Christianity only.
