COMPENSATION FOR SINKING A BRITISH STEAMER. United Press Association —Copyright. ST. PETERSBURG, Nov. 26. The Russian Prize Court has awarded the British-India Steam Navigation Co. £61,994’ sterling for the loss of the Ikhona, which was rammed by the warship Tertez in 1905, and the South British Insurance Company £950, and the New Zealand Insurance Company £16,696. [The Ikhona was sunk during the Russo-Japanese war on suspicion that she was carrying “contraband of war” for the Japanese.]
