PATHE PICTURES
The new programme submitted by the management of the Pathe Picture. Company on Saturday night should \ .prove to be one of the most popular , yet screened. The star items “Under the Flag 5 ’ and “Doing his Duty” are exceptionally good. The former being a military spectacle of high order,' while the latter is a very touching drama. “Reodham Boys at Festival Drill” is a pictorial treat, being in- , teresting and instructive throughout. An industrial picture, “Barrel Making,” shows the making of the barrel from start to finish. The comic element is very strong, “Eloping with Auntie,” “Willie and the Water-can,” and “The Infant Terrible” producing roars of laughter. A new departure comes into operation this evening, when a partial change of programme will he submitted. Horse racing lias been termed the “sport of kings,” and to-night “The King and Queen at Ascot” will be the star additional attraction. “When Stormy Winds Do Blow” is a nautical novelty, demonstrating the far-reacliing efforts of the cinematograph photographer. “Satan’s Smithy” is a color film of great merit, while “The Marriage of Jim and Willie” is a comedy in miniature enacted bv two of the leading actors of one of the first theatres in Paris. These new pictures will be • shown in, addition ;to the successes of Saturday night.
