In tlie Supreme Court Mr. Justice Denniston refused an application by Joseph Smvthe, agent, for an injunction restraining the Parapara iron OreCompany from proceeding with contracts for the sale of the company s property. It was stated that although absent from Christchurch deponent liaci been kept fully cognisant of the proceedings of the company, and to tlie best of liis knowledge aud belief no contract for sale of the whole or part of the property of the company hac ever been before the directors, nor hat: any such contract been discussed oy them. A pledge bad been given on behalf of the directors that if agents were appointed they would not oe granted a power of attorney.
